Useful tips for hail car covers | Advantages and disadvantages

When selecting a hail car cover, you should consider factors such as ease of installation, portability, and the level of protection required based on typical hail sizes in your area, resence of strong winds, which would make its operation difficult, etc.

Before you decide whether or not to use a hail car cover, you should consider the following advantages and disadvantages:

  • some models are custom made for the specific car - high quality materials and a precise design that is tailored to the individual characteristics of your car;
  • protect from sunshine, wind, rain, hail, snow, ice, pollution, birds, etc.;
  • are not compact, but quite bulky;
  • it takes time to install it;
  • are not non-contact and although the fabrics used are not rough, in wind there is a risk of damaging (scratching) the gloss of the car's paintwork (you have to be careful with the use of accessories);
  • may not be as wind and storm resistant and although it is equipped with fastening accessories, you can use additional accessories and fastening belts at your discretion;
  • not commit ourselves to concluding that damage to the vehicle can be avoided in any case, since the safest remedy is the garage.

If you see more disadvantages than advantages, it is better not to use a hail protection car covers and consider other methods of protection.
