Description

The “AutoProtect Hydra” is universal or custom made hail car cover protection is manufactured in the European Union. Thanks to the many cuts and sizes available, this product is suitable for all car models and body (cabin) types: sedan, coupe, convertible, hatchback, station wagon, small and large SUV (crossover / SUV), minivan, van, LAV and Pickup Truck.

This cover has two parts - an inner quilted mat (fabric pocket) equipped with a protective component made of polyethylene foam (PE foam), which is available in thicknesses of 0.2 or 0.4 in (5 or 10 mm) and an outer highly resistant cover made of robust hydrophobic polyester - 150 g/sq.m. If more protection is needed, a double quilted mat - 2 x 0.4 in (10 mm) can be ordered, which will achieve a maximum protection of 0.8 in (20 mm). Furthermore, additional side protection for doors (optional) with dimensions (length / height): 85 x 40 in (215 х 100 cm) - thickness of 0.2 or 0.4 in (5 or 10 mm) can be ordered.

Keep in mind that hail covers are not compact, but quite bulky, so keep this in mind when choosing the model, size, thickness of the protective component, as well as the need for additional protection.

The two covers (inner and outer) are used in combination, but can also be used separately, e.g. outside the hail season you can use only the outer cover. It is not a hindrance, but not advisable, to use the inner quilted mat alone as well, as it is more resistant to wind when the outer cover is placed over it.

Both the inner and outer matting are made of a high quality coated waterproof fabric. The hydrophobic polyester has undergone a special treatment, as a result of which its outer layer securely protects the vehicle from the harmful effects of the sun's rays as well as from water penetration during rain and snow.

The specialized cover protects the car from hail through its coating and filling, which protects its most vulnerable external elements - the front bumper, headlights, front cover, windshield, roof, rear window, trunk, tail lights and rear bumper. In addition, the protective component also covers the more endangered edge side area of the vehicle.

We agree that this is a reliable option for protection, but we would not commit ourselves to concluding that damage to the vehicle can be avoided in any case, since the safest remedy is the garage.

Sizes from “S” to “XXL” are suitable for cars - type “Sedan”, “Coupe”, “Convertible”, “Hatchback”, “Station Wagon”; sizes “4x4-small”, “4x4-standard”, “4x4-standard/big”, “4x4-big” and “4x4-super-big” - for Crossover, SUV, Minivan, Van and sizes “Pickup truck-small”, “Pickup truck-medium”, “Pickup truck-big”, “Pickup truck-super-big” - for all model and body type (style) of Pickup Trucks - single (regular) cab, crew cab, double cab, short bed, long bed, etc. We offer three models (options) of truck covers, which are suitable for Truck Bed - without roll bar, with roll bar and with cap (topper).

The hail protection car cover is made with:

high quality coated fabric - hydrophobic polyester (150 g/sq.m);
protective component (PE Foam) of polyethylene foam with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.8 in (5 to 20 mm);
additional side protection for doors (optional) with dimensions (length / height): 85 x 40 in (215 х 100 cm) - thickness of 0.2 or 0.4 in (5 or 10 mm);
elastic cords with hooks and Velcro fastening strips, by means of which through the metal eyelets, the inner mat is fastened to the vehicle wheels and front door handles respectively;
elastic bands under the front and rear bumpers of the outer cover;
a drawstring at the base with a plastic stopper (to be tightened at the rear end of the outer cover), in order to fit tightly and securely around the entire vehicle;
an adjustable belt with buckle - this additionally secures the outer cover against the wind by gripping it through the middle of the vehicle and fastening it to the opposite end;
a storage bag with a handle and tie at the opening into which the outer cover is placed;
a storage bag for the quilted pad.

This is a characteristic of the size along the contour of the car, not on the side, i.e. is the measurement from the bottom of the front bumper, through the roof, to the bottom of the rear bumper, where the quilted pad will fit. If staked slightly longer than the contour of the car, the quilted mat will fall a little below the two bumpers of the car, but this is not a problem as it can be rolled up.

Determining the right size

When determining the exact size, you should take into account that sizes from “S” to “XXL” are suitable for cars - type “Sedan”, “Coupe”, “Convertible”, “Hatchback”, “Station Wagon”; sizes “4x4-small”, “4x4-standard”, “4x4-standard/big”, “4x4-big” and “4x4-super-big” - for Crossover, SUV, Minivan, Van and sizes “Pickup truck-small”, “Pickup truck-medium”, “Pickup truck-big”, “Pickup truck-super-big” - for all model and body type (style) of Pickup Trucks - single (regular) cab, crew cab, double cab, short bed, long bed, etc.

Keep in mind that in order to be fitted, the cover must be at least 6-8 in (15-20 cm) longer than the length of the car. However, it is not elastic and if the cover is the size of the car, it will come up short. In addition, there must be enough space between it and the vehicle to place the quilted mat.
